Steering controller setup
Controls how the vehicle responds to the guidance system.
This option is only visible is the AUTOSTEER.
function is enabled in System / Functions / Guidance. To configure the autosteer controller:
- Select: Vehicle / Autosteer.
Controller
Note: It is important to select the specific steering controller correctly, if known, so that the autosteer settings match the vehicle profile. Note that if the autosteer controller is changed in future, it may be necessary to access the vehicle geometry settings, modify them appropriately and then confirm them again. Note that the Autodetect function will not automatically detect controllers already included in the list, and that it is necessary to select the specific controller if available in the list.
If ELECTRIC STEERING WHEEL is selected as the controller, additional options
are added in the Autosteer fine tuning screen.
CAN bus
Controller Area Network. Select the CAN Bus to use. If unsure, refer to the labels on the connections to the GPS receiver.
- CAN 1: ISOBUS
- CAN 2: main autosteer BUS
Engage autosteer
Allows the operator to engage the autosteer function from the console.
- Virtual: select this option to use only the touch screen Autosteer engage button.
- External and virtual console input: select this option if there is also an external 'engage' button connected directly to the console.
If there is an external 'engage' button connected directly to the CAN BUS, you can select either of these two options.
