Alarm settings
If no implement has been configured in the system, only general alarms are configurable.
To set up general alarms:
1. Select: System / Alarms / General.
The list of general alarms is displayed. All general alarms may be enabled or disabled by selecting All general alarms.
Alternatively, each general alarm may be enabled or disabled individually.
Note that, for safety reasons, the audible
autosteer Disengaged/Engaged alarm cannot be disabled.
Note the following additional considerations regarding the End of row alarm. This alarm is sounded and displayed when the vehicle approaches the boundary and it is necessary to slow down and prepare for manual control.
- First distance: distance from boundary at which alarm is activated for the first time. The distance is measured from the tractor to the boundary along the wayline (guideline).
- Second distance: distance from boundary at which alarm is activated a second time warning the operator to take immediate control of the vehicle.
- Front monitoring distance: sets the distance in meters in front of the vehicle monitored by the system in order to respond with the appropriate action.
Description of alarm window
Press the centre of the alarm window to confirm that you have read the alarm message.
If the option 'Drag down for details' is shown at the top of the window, drag the alarm window down to view more details about the alarm.
Press the loudspeaker icon to mute the alarm.
The wrench icon indicates the relative alarm setting page for configuring the alarm (or to disable the alarm if not relevant for the current configuration). The following exceptions apply for this function:
- The wrench icon 'GPS receiver firmware mismatch' opens the setting screen for updating the GPS receiver firmware.
- The No GPS Time alarm displays the time/date setup screen for entering the correct local time.
Alarms list
This is a list of all the alarms on the console and their descriptions.
Alarm |
Description |
---|---|
Active field very far away |
Active field more than 8 km (5 miles) from current location. Check that the correct field has been loaded or create a new field. |
COM port error |
Alarm generated if specified COM port cannot be accessed. |
End of row |
Alarm generated when the vehicle approaches the boundary and the operator will soon be required to take control of the vehicle. |
Fallback |
Alarm generated when selected GPS correction source is not available and the system has to temporarily use a less precise correction source. |
GPS drift correction |
Alarm displayed as a reminder when machine is switched on to notify driver that GPS drift correction has been applied. As GPS drift varies over time, this alarm reminds the operator that it may be necessary to recalculate the GPS drift compensation value. |
GPS signal lost |
Alarm generated when the GPS signal is lost but the receiver is still connected. |
GPS receiver firmware mismatch |
Select the wrench icon to open the screen for updating the applicable firmware. |
Invalid vehicle profile |
The selected vehicle profile contains invalid parameters. Create a new vehicle profile or contact your dealer for assistance. |
Invalid/obsolete profile loaded |
Alarm generated when an obsolete implement or vehicle profile is still active in the system. This may occur when updating to the latest software version from a very old version. |
High liquid pressure |
Alarm activated if pressure in tank exceeds maximum pressure limit specified. |
Low liquid pressure |
Alarm activated if pressure in tank is below the minimum pressure limit specified. |
Low resources |
Alarm generated when the system resources (memory or space in the file system) are more than 90% full. |
Master switch off |
This alarm is generated when the operator drives in an unprocessed area of the coverage map with the master switch off (this is to prevent operators from forgetting to turn the master switch on at the start of a pass). |
Maximum guidance distance exceeded |
Alarm generated when the length of the recorded row exceeds the maximum permissible number of points (generally a few kilometres, but maximum length may vary depending on the complexity of the curve). |
No communication |
Alarm generated if the console cannot establish communication with the implement ECU. |
No GPS |
Alarm generated if the GPS connection is lost. |
No GPS time |
Alarm generated if the GPS receiver is not configured to send time messages (ZDA NMEA messages). |
Parameter mismatch |
Vehicle geometry parameters do not match the geometry configured in the autosteer system. Select the vehicle again from the settings screen or check that the vehicle geometry indicated in the relative screen is correct. |
Guideline too far |
Alarm generated if the active guideline (AB line, curve or concentric circles) is too far from the current GPS position. |
Project line too far away |
Alarm generated if the active project line group is too far from the current GPS position. |
Receiver disconnected |
The GPS receiver is not responding. Check the receiver connections. |
Subscription expiring |
The subscription for the registered function expires in the next <days until expiry> days. Contact your dealer to renew the subscription. |
Resources depleted |
Alarm generated when the system resources (memory or space in the file system) are more than 97% full. |
Driver station inverted |
Informative alarm displayed when the driver seat is rotated by 180 degrees (only applicable to tractors with dual driving position). |
Autosteer off (visual alarm) |
Alarm is generated when the autosteer function is disengaged. This may be caused by lost satellite connection, loss of a guideline or the driver turning the steering wheel manually. |
Autosteer on (visual alarm) |
The Autosteer Off/On alarms cannot be cancelled for safety reasons. However, the visual component of the alarm may be deactivated if required. |
Autosteer profile mismatch |
Parameters in selected vehicle profile do not match vehicle configuration in autosteer subsystem. Select the correct profile for the vehicle used. |
Autosteer restart requested |
Generated if the autosteer subsystem must be restarted. This alarm is generated after calibration for certain types of autosteer subsystem. |
Cannot engage autosteer |
The autosteer status popup window, displayed when the autosteer function cannot be engaged as requested, may be disabled. This popup alarm (which cancels automatically) is displayed when the autosteer button is pressed and the function cannot be activated. |
