Common error messages

For many errors an error code, or Trouble Code, will be displayed. Errors may also be displayed in the Autosteer status screen or in the Error code tab of the Diagnostics screen.

The errors listed below are fairly common and may be corrected by the user. For other errors or if a problem persists, always record the error message to report to your dealer, including any codes displayed.

p/n Fault Action

U1052

Autosteer subsystem firmware version is incorrect.

Upgrade the firmware.

U1054

Autosteer subsystem is in fault mode.

Power cycle the steering controller.

U1055

Steering controller needs to be reset.

Power cycle the steering controller and the vehicle. Wait 20 seconds and restart.

U1056

Steering controller configuration error.

Repeat WAS calibration.

U1061

Tractor parameter settings not found in autosteer subsystem.

Return to main setup menu and confirm vehicle setting is correct.

U1062

Mounting bias calibration required.

Calibrate the mounting bias. This allows the system to compensate if the receiver is not level on the cab roof.

U1065

Wheel angle sensor calibration required.

A change of tyres is a common cause but is not the only possible cause. Check the vehicle measurements and recalibrate.

U1066

Compass calibration required.

Calibrate compass.

U1067

New vehicle or new steering controller has been detected.

Recalibrate the compass.

U1068

Vehicle profile does not match autosteer subsystem settings.

Check that the autosteer subsystem is turned on.

Return to main setup menu and reset the vehicle and the steering system.

U1069

Autosteer subsystem steering wheel sensor is not configured.

Contact dealer.

U1071

Average power consumption of electric steering wheel above permitted limit.

Check electric steering wheel motor unit load (e.g. steering column may be too heavy or bushes or bearings may be worn).

Contact dealer.

U1072

Temperature of electric steering wheel above permitted limit.

Turn off and allow to cool down. If problem persists contact the dealer.

U1074

Electric steering wheel autosteer controller not initialised.

Manually turn steering wheel by one quarter revolution.

U1075

U1078

CAN receive or transmit errors.

Confirm connections. Switch junction box on and off. If problem persists contact the dealer.

U1079

Wheel angle sensor disconnected.

Check connection or replace faulty sensor.

Contact dealer.

U1080

Wheel angle sensor has short-circuited.

Contact dealer. Sensor may need to be replaced.

U1082

Compact Flash file system has less than 1% space remaining.

Check memory usage in the miniscreen. It may be necessary to remove or transfer old files using Inventory Manager.

U3001

Transfer failed.

Try exporting or importing the file to/from USB device again.

U4001

Wayline initialization error.

Recreate wayline.

U4006

Valid system calibrations do not exist.

Calibrate compass, wheel angle sensor and mounting bias.

U5001

Autosteer subsystem not detected.

Check that the autosteer subsystem is turned on.

Check that the Road lock switch, which prevents engaging auto steering while on public roads, is off.

Return to main setup menu to confirm correct steering system has been set.

U5002

Implement and wayline are not defined.

Check that the implement, field and job have all been selected correctly.

Create waylines if necessary.

U5003

Could not engage steering function due to steering controller lockout.

Check that the Road switch is off.

U5004

Implement is not defined.

Confirm correct implement chosen.

U5007

Row spacing (implement overlap subtracted from implement width) is too small.

Overlap set is too large. Change overlap in Automatic Section Control miniscreen. Refer to the controller manual.

U6904

Only one of the steering controller types and vehicle types is articulated.

Confirm settings in vehicle setup on the console match settings in the steering controller.

U6905

Unknown machine type.

Return to main setup menu, and revise vehicle setup.

U8505

Factory calibration not present.

Calibrate compass, wheel angle sensor and mounting bias.

TC8

No 12V power supply to inertial sensor and to modem.

Confirm connections.
