SDF: SAME Library opens in Treviglio

SDF, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of tractors, harvesters, electric self-driving tractors and diesel engines, today inaugurated the SAME Library at its headquarters in Treviglio (Bergamo).
Reserved for SDF employees in Italy (c. 1,400), the SAME Library currently holds around 1,300 books but the company intends to increase this to 5,000 volumes over the coming years. The collection covers a vast array of choice, including bestsellers, classics, novels, thrillers, poetry volumes, magazines and books for children and young people – as well as publications on agricultural mechanisation.
As part of SDF’s welfare programme, the SAME Library aims to improve employee quality of life, offering free book loans and magazines to read within the library space, which will be open twice a week during lunchtime.
The SAME Library will also be part of the Bergamo Libraries Network (RBBG), allowing all registered employees to borrow books and publications from 245 participating libraries around the province. The network is connected via an interloan system, with a single online catalogue showing the collections of all the libraries in the network (www.rbbg.it).
