SAME DEUTZ-FAHR SELLS ITS FIRST GRAPE HARVESTER IN CHINA

June 20, 2013

SAME DEUTZ-FAHR, one of the world’s leading makers of tractors, combine harvesters, agricultural machinery and engines, obtained its first success in China with its brand Grégoire.
Grégoire, one of the global leaders in the sector of development, production and distribution of grape and olive harvesters and sprayers for vineyards, was taken over by SAME DEUTZ-FAHR in Autumn 2011.

In January 2013 SAME DEUTZ-FAHR sold its first grape harvester and two sprayers in China. The grape harvester, a Grégoire G7 model, was sold together with two Powerflows (a VTE and a VTD) to a very important Chinese Company which cultivates more than 20,000 hectares of vineyards. The G7 is perfectly suited for the conditions of these kinds of vineyards with a 144hp engine and a soft harvesting head able to cope with concrete posts and are of renowned reliability.
Powerflows with efficient spraying performance will allow our client to improve disease control while reducing cost and the environmental impact.
Patrick Verheecke, CEO of Grégoire and SAME DEUTZ-FAHR France, affirms: "I am really satisfied with this success and I hope it to be the first of a long list of achievements for SDF in this important market.”
